About these dates

For these returns the deadline depends on the case. A non-audit return is due 31 July; where a tax audit under s.44AB is required, the return is due later. Every other date in the table is the same either way.
A date falling on a Sunday or a public holiday moves to the next working day (s.10, General Clauses Act).
Where the CBDT extended a date by circular, the original stands beside it, struck through. The info marker names the circular.
State holidays are not taken into account, and the CBDT extends these dates by circular in most years — check the current circular before relying on a date.
